About

James J. Livingston, Jr. is a partner of the firm. He has experience in performing legal research on patents, trademarks and copyrights for domestic and global clients. He specializes in technologies that include software, telecommunications, networking, business methods, LCD/LED displays, semiconductors, circuits, electronics, medical devices and mechanical. Mr. Livingston’s technical experience consists of providing extensive technical and software consulting to a broad range of corporate clientele, including Fidelity Investments, Sybase, Progress Software, Stratus Computer and Digital Equipment Corporation.

Prior to his legal experience, for eleven years, he was the Software Engineering Consultant for James J. Livingston Consulting Services. He developed desktop graphical user interface for monitoring and problem ticket integration, ported data warehouse engine to multiple operating system platforms, ported real-time operating system to new hardware platform, designed and implemented OS threading package through certification and coded web‐server back end for portfolio analysis.
