About

Michael Shin is a partner of the firm. He specializes in electronic, electrical, communications, and computer patent matters. He is skilled in the preparation and prosecution of patent applications relating to information handling systems including computer, printer, fax, technologies, CRT and LCD displays and laser printer, telecommunications including IMT-2000, W-CDMA, TDMA, CDMA, FDMA and multicarrier signaling, ISDN, digital carrier systems, fiber optic networks, and semiconductor devices. He also has experience with a broad range of electrical, software, and business method patents.

Previously, Mr. Shin was a member of an established intellectual property law firm in Washington DC where he gained experience prosecuting patent applications. Prior to that, Mr. Shin worked for more than nineteen years in the electronics manufacturing industry as a Senior Manager of Samsung Electronics. At Samsung, Mr. Shin was responsible for handling a broad range of IP matters including patent prosecution, patent litigation, patent licensing and technology transfers. He has extensive experience in intellectual property licensing and in conducting settlement discussions.

Mr. Shin’s practice includes preparing and prosecuting U.S. and foreign patent applications for clients of the firm.
