About

Raymond B. Persino is a partner of the firm with nearly twenty years of experience in the intellectual property field. His practice focuses on the analysis and management of intellectual property portfolios and the utilization thereof for optimal strategic and monetary gain, the procurement of domestic and foreign intellectual property assets, and the preparation of patentability, validity, infringement, and product clearance opinions. He also counsels clients on a broad range of intellectual property related matters, including transactional and litigation matters such as licensing agreements and patent infringement litigation. Mr. Persino is a former member of an Am Law 50 law firm where he was responsible for complex intellectual property litigation matters involving numerous electrical and telecommunication technologies. In particular, Mr. Persino handled comprehensive intellectual property infringement and validity analyses for pre-litigation investigations and litigation proceedings.

Mr. Persino has prepared and prosecuted significant numbers of domestic and foreign patent applications in the electrical, optical, and mechanical arts. He has substantial experience with the procurement of patents having a scope tailored for assertion in litigation campaigns. The technologies of the applications Mr. Persino has prosecuted include the protocols, systems, devices and circuits for short range, terrestrial and satellite wireless communications and technologies related thereto, land-based telecommunication systems, digital signal processing systems, computer network systems, optical telecommunication devices, optical imaging devices, computer software algorithms, internet technologies, user interfaces, acoustic devices, discrete and integrated analog and digital circuits, electrical and optical interconnection devices, and integrated circuit fabrication processes and systems.

Mr. Persino is a former Patent Examiner of seven years. As an Examiner, he was responsible for the examination of patent applications representing all aspects of IMT-2000, W-CDMA, TDMA and CDMA wireless communication technologies.
